Quick Intro to Hugo

Hugo is a great tool for building static websites. Now, don’t get me wrong! Static doesn’t have to be boring, “fixed” sites. In fact a lot of so-called dynamic websites that are built using tools like WordPress are great candidates for Hugo.

Why Hugo?

Dynamic website tools are great but they are complex. They also come with performance baggage or security risks. This is because every time someone accesses a page, the server has to query the database and create it. On the contrary Hugo pages are just plain old HTML pages. There’s not much to hack!
